Let's take a walk down memory lane...

Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together (it can be a memory with either me or Austin, or both). It doesn't matter if you knew me/us a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.
This seems like a lot of fun --post a comment so I can share in all of your memories! Have fun!
xoxo

Three words: Butt slap lawsuit. We sure had some good times, didn't we Austin? Also, aquagenato.
cute idea!
layla, i remember sitting outside (i think at the fairgrounds) to get tickets to a concert... maybe rascal flatts? it was with josh and brady and the rest of the boys and i think it was the first time i had met you. oh yeah, i think you had just gotten a new truck... purple maybe? anyway, random memory, huh?!
Park City Shopping! And spending the entire time (well almost the entire time) in the BCBG store! I loved that you had the workers find you stuff from the backroom. After that trip, you are one of my favorite people to shop with!
hey layla! You should totally go to GTU when you get home - we had fun and it was just something different to do. All I did was hop on to the GTU web site and emailed them that we wanted tickets and a few dates that we could all go. They replied within a few days and told me when they had gotten us in and where to go. It was fun... we got free stuff too!!!
Layla... I remember the 1st time I logged on to the Platinumwives blog and saw that you commented on something so I clicked on your blog to see who you were and I saw all those black and white photos (engagemnets maybe??) and I was like "Oh my gosh! They are such a gorgeous couple!" That was my first thoughts of you guys!! Now I know you so much better but it was a little intimidating at 1st!! :)
Hi, well of course my best memory is of Austin and I dancing but we had too many too pick a favorite. I loved them all. Tell him hi for me. This is a really cute idea so I just might steal it along with your memory lane picture. :)
So I hope that when you guys get back we will actually hang out so I can meet you Layla and have some memories ;)
I know that me being a girl, Austin probably didn't want to hang out with me at family gatherings...but I remember playing with Austin on Grandma Overman's swing set and in her ditch in her back yard - of course eating her yummy raspberry shortcake dessert. He is the ONLY cousin I have that is close to me in age - most of my cousins are in their late 30's and 40's so it was really nice to have someone my age to hang out with.
Oh and I am pretty sure at his homecoming he had no idea who I was - I came to the conclusion he probably thought I was some random girl from high school. Maybe I am wrong :)
layla, i remember when we first met it was on that park city dinner trip! I remember you told me you liked my jacket!! I thought you were such a fun girl to talk to!! we were suppose to go shopping the next day but I went home cause madden didn't sleep well. We will hAve to fulfill our shopping trip some other time
wow, layla, so many great memories. which one to choose..I will have to say Country swing night in logan. Driving your dad's monster diesel truck that we could barely see over the dash, not to mention you could hear us coming 3 blocks away. We made quite the entrance. or maybe helping you get ready for the high school dance? You were my little barbie doll, I dressed you, did your hair and your make up.
Oh Jeez Lay I have so many memories about all us crazies living together, I remember getting in bed with eachother (that sounds bad but u know what I mean) and talking about our days or our boy problems or whatever....we had good chats under those covers!! Those were some of the best days, Harms and I reminisce about the days all the time!
I agree with Megan, hopefully when you guys get back we can actually meet and make some memories! Mine are similar to Megans of course. Austin and Jordan are the only cousins we have close to us. So mine are the same...playing at Grandma Overmans...I remember that Kevin had this fish game, where they went around in a circle and you had a fishing pole and you tried to hook your color fish on your pole...and playing on the side of my grandma's garage...there was a space between it and the fence and we'd always go play up there!
Layla.. will you send me your email? I need to ask you some questions about the flower, and the headband!
So this is my first time looking at your blog and it looks like you guys have a ton of fun! I have to leave my memory of you. Back in eighth grade we made a video of us being dorks for Adam Boyer. Remember that? I actually still have it. I found it when I got married and moved into my house. I had to watch it. The only thing I could think was that we were really stupid and I wonder what Adam thought about it. Anyway, it was a ton of fun!
Layla - I saw this post awhile ago, but didn't have any time to write until now.
Obviously I have to write about the Desert Star days! I had so much fun hanging out with you and the girls, but my favorite times were when we'd sneak into the back to eat bread, salad, soup, and the occasional "accidental" brownie sundae while rolling silverware and talking. Remember how we would just talk and talk and talk? I loved chatting about boys, life, and I remember laughing A LOT, but sadly can't remember specifics...can you? I vaguely remember making up some lyrics to Christmas songs one time. Ha ha, I kept them and found them a couple of years ago, but threw them away.
You and the other girls were a HUGE influence on me (for the good :) and I am so glad I met you when I did! Oh, and I remember your truck! I thought you were so cool - there's no way I would ever own one of those, I don't think I could figure out how to drive one!
Even though we've all grown up since then, I am glad to be your blogging friend still! You are so brave and I love how you are you. I remember being (and still am) amazed at your fashion sense and style. I learned a lot from you, and still do!
One day when we all have time and live in the same area we should all get together again for crying out loud! When that will be seems far away, but it can be done!
PS- Love your NYC posts! Live it up while you are there! Once kids enter the picture, it's a whole other ball game!
