Spartan King Leonidas & his Queen Gorgo!

The theme of Austin's office this year is 300 (spartans) & Pirates. I guess Spartans and Pirates relate because they are both "the best, the tough and the feared" of their profession. Which is what Austin expects of his office. The office does things like: when they are going over sales during their morning meeting they yell "HA-OOH" for each sale, before they leave their meetings Austin yells, "New York (the name of our office) what is your profession?" And they all yell "SALES, SALES, SALES", and they always say things like "We are Platinum" or "We are New York." So you can see that 300 is quite a big deal in our office, right? Well, Austin (the amazing manager that he is) threw the office a big 300 themed party as an incentive last week! It was so much fun! Austin had a whole bunch of competitions set up so the guys could show off their "stuff" and earn some prizes. Here are some of the "competitions": bubble blowing contest, hula hoop contest, hand stands contest, best Leonidas imitation, push up contest, holding breath under water contest, best 300 costume, dance off, etc. As you can see by this list of competitions it was a pretty hilarious morning! I was so impressed by the reps. because they were such good sports!!! They all participated even though most of the time they just got laughed at! My favorite was the hula hoop contest---I think the winner was able to do 7 turns with the hula hoop! Ha ha ha. Most of the guys could only do 1 or 2 turns! I wish I would have gotten more pictures but I was "judging" and mostly just cracking up the whole time. The guys won lots of cool stuff--a camera, Ipod, money, gift cards, skull candy stuff, and I think the best prize was a Chuck Norris poster! We decided that we want to make a Jack Bauer (from the show 24) poster. We have already come up with a lot of good stuff to put on it and we think it would be a big seller! =)

Yes, we do have leaves in our hair and we are wearing sheets...what can I say? We are very creative!

Or maybe McAllan was the creative one by drawing muscles on himself (with permanent marker mind you).

Oh, they are tough. Doesn't Austin make a good Leonidas? =)



Austin's brother Jordan won the push up contest--he even beat out the "navy man" (he's joining the Navy after the summer). The lesson learned--don't underestimate the "little guy".

Hand stand contest--most of the guys fell over and knocked other guys over so there were only 3 standing (does that work?) after about 30 seconds. One of the guys ended up falling over and crashing onto a table--it was so funny (I wish I would have gotten a picture of it!) And Austin can do a handstand for a good 30 minutes but since he wasn't technically a contestant the winner was...


McAllan. Austin taught him the "pointing toe" technique. It is a sad day when guys can do handstands better than girls. Girls so had them beat in the third grade...

Austin put together a killer party--with my help of course! =) I give him a big "HA-OHH, HA-OOH, HA-OOH!" He he he.
