I can not praise this book enough.

After hearing rave reviews about this book from a couple of friends, I quickly put it on my "never-ending reading list".
Austin and I were killing time before a movie the other day {the movie was SALT, which we actually really enjoyed, despite the low ratings) so we went to the bookstore to read while sipping (or guzzling on hot days like it was) drinks in the cafe.
{one of our favorite past-times}.
I grabbed this book and started to read.
I was so enthralled we almost missed our movie-after waiting an hour and a half for it to start- we had to sit on the front row.
Once on the subway after the movie I resumed reading- and didn't stop until I was finished.
I read into the wee hours, in the dark, reading with the help of the flashlight app on my iphone.
(Austin was asleep and we live in, more or less, a studio apartment).
It was that good. It was more than good. It was a truly touching story.
Mary Ann Shaffer (& Annie Barrows) wrote with such passion...I could feel it seeping out of every page...every word.
I read, and would find myself weeping from laughter or sadness, gasping with surprise or dismay and giddy with delight.
I did not want it to end.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is definitely going on my "books we {heart}" list.
