My sister Shavon turned 26 today! Her name is irish and since she was born on St. Patrick's day it fits quite nicely. She is one of the coolest people that I know. She is only 18 months older than me and ever since I can remember we were raised like twins: matching outfits and dresses, we got the same toys, had the same friends, shared a room for years, even got asked out on dates by some of the same boys! Even though we are so different now, she will always be one of my best friends. I guess because we were so close growing up, no matter how far apart we are or how often I see or talk to her she will always be close to me. Some of my favorite things about her are: she is very talented and smart, she is an awesome writer- I always love to read her poems, she is extremely athletic and is good at anything she does, she goes to the gym a lot and she is very buff, she is her own person and has her own style, she has been through a lot but has remained very strong and independent, she is courageous and I know she would fight any "battle" for me, she is a great cook, she is very kind and caring, she is an awesome friend, she will do anything for anyone and often times at the last second I will call her to borrow something and she will go out of her way to make sure I have it in time, she likes to have fun and be hyper, I always laugh hard and have a good time when I am with her, she has a unique way of looking at things, she loves to learn and reads a lot, and last but not least she is one of the most beautiful people I have ever known. When people say we look a like it is such a great compliment. Shavon, you are one of the strongest people I know- you have a strength of mind and heart that a lot of people will never possess and I know you can get through any trial that comes your way. You have an amazing heart and you are one of the most loving people that I know. Many people look up to you and want to be like you and be in your presence. I know that you can do anything you put your mind to- You will be an awesome teacher. I miss you a lot and wish that I could spend more time with you. I wish I could have been with you on your birthday but I hope you had a fabulous day!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I love you tons Sis. xoxoxo!

Hey Layla! Yah, the wedding is coming up pretty quick...3 months from Friday...which seems like a long time, but considering the fact that we've been engaged for 3 months Sunday I suppose this is the home stretch. :) We haven't sent invitations out yet, but don't worry, you're definitely on the list to get one. We'll be sending them out the first of May, so be on the lookout then!
Happy b-day to your sis! You are going to NYC? That will be cool. Sales are so busy that at least you'll have some good distractions. Congrats on the house! We always talk about when we'll be house hunting & what things we'll be picky about... like the kitchen & bathroom! :) Are you both all finished with school? What's the scoop on you two? I'm glad things are going so well-- you look happy!
We're having fun being parents, but it's super hard too, of course. :) Benson is such a stud, though. Allen's at the Y and will be studying accounting hopefully, so we've got about 3 yrs til he graduates with his MAcc. I'm finished (yea!) and keep myself occupied by being a mom, running a wedding dress rental business, and serving in our ward RS. Busy busy! But I love it all. We want to start another business soon, so hopefully that will happen by the end of the year. Anyway, that's about it! I will definitely check back to see what you're up to!
