People in Florida canoe with alligators for FUN. I figured if elderly folk and small children could do it without fear, so could I. And so a few weeks ago, we did just that. The river we canoed down was beautiful and serene. We were told by a park ranger there was a 17 foot alligator in the river--we didn't see this 17 footer, but we did see a couple of 6 or 7 foot gators. The scariest part of the whole ordeal were the huge SPIDERS that kept finding their way into my canoe. Thanks to Sierra, who knows I am enormously terrified of those dreaded insects, for allowing me to frantically paddle to her canoe so she could get rid of them for me!
See him? They camouflage quite well.
After canoeing, and washing our hands several times, we had a picnic.
This adventure turned out to be one of our favorites so far--come visit and I'll take you down the river to see a 'gator for yourself!
Next adventure--the EVERGLADES

That looks so fun!:)
How many people can say that they went canoeing with crocodiles?! I think that sounds so adventurous And I, like you, would be more scared of the spiders. They have 8 legs and are furry - bleh. I hate them.
Okay, so I never noticed that Austin DOES look like Zach Morris. Haha! That would be an AWESOME Halloween costume! And Pottery Barn is were I got the idea for the room along with the pillow that is on the rocker and the sheets in the crib ;) I love that place!
