(almost) Summer time in the NYC

We had a much needed pool party on friday morning before everyone went to work! We have been waiting all month for the pool to open and when it finally did we had nothing but stormy weather (the east coast is beautiful but there are a lot of storms...it's humid but the temperature doesn't get too high which is wonderful). Anyway, Austin has these different sales incentives for the guys...for example if a rep gets a "4 day" (4 sales in a day) they call it a "crazy delicious" and he brings red vines and mr. pipp to their morning meeting (or since those don't exist on the east coast, twizzlers and dr. pepper) for the whole office. A 5 day they call a "Girly Man" (don't ask me why because it is definitely not a "girly man" thing to sell 5 systems in one day) and any rep who gets a "5 day" earns a morning pool party for the whole office. Cool? I think so! We wanted to have a luau for this pool party but couldn't find the lays or the pina colada mix so that will have to be for a different party but we did get sushi and hotdogs...our apartment only allows electric grills but it actually turned out better than I thought...and fruit kabobs and juicy watermelon. But the highlight were these cool island sorbets we found at costco that come in coconut shells and pineapple shells...the guys were stoked. It makes me happy that they find joy in little things. We then listened to music, performed the "solja boy" dance (of course) and played in the pool. The weather was perfect and it was a lot of fun for all the reps, techs, wives, and kids (expect for a few techs who were out on jobs already--sorry guys). The only thing that wasn't fun were the old ladies that kept calling security on us because the guys were doing tricks and flips in the pool--I guess the old ladies were just jealous the guys didn't invite them to our bbq or maybe it was because they wanted to do flips and tricks in the pool but couldn't...anyway, I hope the guys start getting "5 days" more often! Oh, I just looked and saw that Austin got 5 today!!! So I guess we will be doing another pool party soon! YAY! =)
