Pi Alpha Alpha
I went to the mailbox this morning and what did I find? A letter from the Pi Alpha Alpha Utah Chapter President that says something like this: Congratulations! Your outstanding academic record and progress toward the Master of Public Administration degree qualify you for membership in Pi Alpha Alpha...It's nice of them to finally invite me to join the Pi Alpha Alpha (the MPA honors society) AFTER I graduate. I waited throughout the 2 years it took me to complete my masters degree to be invited to join the Pi Alpha Alpha because I met all of the qualifications and had the grades to do so--well a year after I graduate they invite me to join--isn't that a little late? Of course they probably just want my $80 dollar lifetime membership fee but I figure I might as well join since 1. membership in Pi Alpha Alpha will go on my official transcript; 2. I get a certificate (wow) and; 3. I get to wear a medallion at commencement (if I ever decide to walk...which I probably won't). Hmm, the real reason I'll join is that if I decide to go to law school next year maybe it will help boost my application. Maybe, but doubtful.

Congratulations! That is very impressive!! Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. At our old house we used to have a red kitchen...so I'm envious of your red...and coincidentally...the back wall of my kitchen in this house is green! Great minds think alike eh?! Good luck if you do law school, you would make an excellent lawyer!
A similar thing happened to me at Utah State, and I figured they wanted the money. But I gave it to them anyway because I too figured it would look good on a resume. Congrats and good luck with all that you pursue in the future! Like Chels said, you will be great.
I thought you were going to say that you got these really cute invites in the mail for an awesome wedding or something. lol, jk! That is so funny that they wait this long to invite you to the cool club. Way to go though! Thats awesome!!
