i'm in love

with LE CREUSET.
my sweet husband let me splurge and get a piece.
{and my cute friend Tara told me about a 40% off coupon.}
I got the round wide oven in dijon yellow.

I was a little nervous to use it--I wanted to wait until we got back to Utah so I could use it in the comfort of my own kitchen.
But I couldn't wait.

So today I busted it out and:

browned chicken.
sauteed some veggies.
added some chicken broth and cream.
put the whole thing in the oven for 45.
and wah-la
I have the most amazing creation to put over fresh pasta.

my french oven hard at work.
yummy!
Austin said that it was better than something you'd order at a restaurant.
 I'll take that compliment any day.

it's the perfect size (6.75 qts).
I can make meals for just us two, like tonight
OR i can make dinner for a group of people (which happens a lot when we're home).
i can use this lovely oven for pasta dishes, meats, risotto, soups, sauces, casseroles, cobblers...you name it!

I just created a "le creuset to-buy" list on my iphone.
I need more.
the Mr. asked me if this is going to be my new thing.
yes, yes it is.
I don't think I can ever go back to normal pots and pans now.

I am so happy you got that! You are going to be obsessed! Tell the hubs sorry from me! :) seriously do. Haha! I feel partly responsible. AND now you'll be hooked on the food network as well! :) everyone uses those daily and for everything!! Anyway--you'll LOVE it! :) enjoy!
