july in the City is magical, 

so much so that mom, pop and jen Overman had to join in.

 a very patriotic 4th of july

hotdogs

apple pie

and fireworks with millions of other people.

 squished and sweaty while watching fireworks.
but they were by far the coolest firework show i've seen.

to avoid the millions upon millions of people flooding the streets and subway after the fireworks

we watched a movie in the times square theater. by the time we got out of the movie the streets were clear--it was such a relief to avoid that headache. our last 4th of july in the city we spent 2 hours getting home! ugh!
