At the end of last summer my dad told me he would take me skydiving but I wanted to wait until we were in AZ so I could skydive with Shavon's finance Pat. Since we were in AZ over the weekend it was the perfect opportunity for me to FINALLY go. I didn't want to skydive alone so my dad told everyone that he would pay for whoever wanted to skydive with me. Other that the 3 that skydived with me, I had aunts, cousins, nieces, brother + sister all watching from the sidelines. It was wonderful to have so much support!

I can honestly say that I wasn't scared at all. I was a bit nervous the night before anticipating it and had butterflies in my stomach when we were on the ground suiting up. But once in the plane I was super excited. Pat is a really calm, laid back person and I think being with him really helped me to just relax and have fun. We made a bet whether I would scream or not--and I didn't. I was also able to keep my eyes open the whole time which was neat because I got to see the plane fly away as were flipping.
These peeps skydived with me.
We all wrote messages on our hands.
Me: "I love you Austin"
Uncle D.: "Open Casket"
Autumn: "Look Ma, No hands".
Shavon told Pat to take it easy on me but he said that I needed the "true skydiving experience". I agreed and told him to do whatever he wanted. He did a gainer out of the plane and did some spins and twists that he technically isn't supposed to do during tandems. I am SO glad he did. It was fun to watch all of our videos and see the cool skydiving tricks that I was able to experience with Pat that the other's weren't able to.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED it. I was laughing the WHOLE time. Free-falling at 120 mph for over a minute was SO incredible. I want to go again with the hubbs.
