I had a neat title to this post until my hubby said it was lame! LOL

All of the office wives out to dinner!
I must say I am very proud of my vintage finds- $8 belt & $12 skirt!
I also got this $10 vintage half apron. Perfect colors for my kitchen.

DOLPHINS! We were having a BBQ at the pool and there was a pod of about 6 dolphins
playing out in the ocean just 30 ft away from us! I was entertained for a good half hour watching them!

Austin did a "diving for dollars" incentive. Mostly in quarters, ha ha.
The guys would shove the coins down their swim trunks and as you can see it wasn't very easy getting them back out.
3 goofs wearing their wives goggles!
We can NEVER get a good picture when reps are around.
Ok here's one.
My sister came out to visit for 5 days!!! I had a FABULOUS time!
The first day we went to Clearwater beach ALL day.

The water here in the gulf is like bath water (the water temp is usually in the 80's).
Watching the sunset on Pier 60. It was neat to see the sun go down right into the ocean, it literally looked like the ocean just swallowed the sun right up.

Oh Florida is BEAUTIFUl. Too bad it is a little TOO hot & humid for me!
We ate lots of seafood at the splendid Landry's.

Isn't Austin pretty!?
We also went to seaworld! I made the mistake of wearing a black shirt and had to spend $20 and buy the ONLY white t-shirt seaworld offered!
Before

After

Love the shamu show---that & the dolphin show always make me cry! Ha Ha, I am lame.

We were obsessed with using my sisters new underwater camera (gotta get me one!) to take pics of the sting rays.
It was fun to spend a day at seaworld in my "believe" shirt, feeling like a kid again!

We spent a couple of days in historic Ybor city.

We decided to make the 4+ hour drive to the Everglades, spend a couple of hours there and drive the 4+ hours back...all in one day. As daunting as that sounds, it ended up being worse. They shut down the ONLY major freeway to the place we were going because of an accident. So we had to take over an hour detour.... got lost, something on our rental car broke and was making noises and we ALMOST ran out of gas (thank goodness for that ONE gas station on the indian reservation we happened to drive through). But it was SO worth it.

We went on an airboat ride!
A couple of Manatees were swimming along our airboat.
A little island we got to stop at and collect seashells.
In the old days these leaves were used as paper to send messages in the mail. You can still mail them today by just putting a stamp right on the leaf. I grabbed a couple of them to test it out for myself!
I was surprised how FAST we'd cruise thru these tiny straightaways. Our driver (captain?) was a wild man...In the 2 hours we were with him he told us stories about: prison, smuggling marajauna, his criminal family and his illegitimate children. Well, we are in the SOUTH. ;) To give him credit there was a moral to his stories-- at the end he told us that even at the ripe old age of 50 (raising a 3 year old on his own) he now makes $20/hr---so to never give up on our dreams! "Ok sir! "
We got soaked with disgusting, smelly swamp water.

We saw many, many alligators. This one was about 8 feet long and when my sister put her hand in the water he swam right over. It was only after that happened that our driver told us alligators can jump 4 feet. EEEKKK, we're lucky we didn't get an alligator in the boat with us!
I even held one...I look chipper in this picture but I was actually a little nervous...and he was just a little guy. I'm such a wuss!
We spent a couple of hours exploring the everglades. We were too late to take a tram tour or rent bikes (boo!) so we just had to walk the entire 15 mile circle. I was SO sweaty afterward.

This little guy was so cute, he was only a few months old. He came out of the water and was playing on the road. We kept throwing stuff and he would run and chase it like a puppy. We were having a grand old time until we realized we did NOT want to meet his mother! Mother alligators are the MOST aggressive! A double EEEEEKKKK.

We also had a BBQ with my sister (ohh I want some grilled pineapple right now!).
This is the ONLY picture I took. Austin is double fisting it with a hotdog in one hand and a hamburger in the other (this is a kid who RARELY eats meat...I guess knocking doors requires a lot of protein!).
We also did a bunch of other splendid things like: get pedicures, eat at a bunch of different yummy places, play guitar hero, sit on the couch for hours watching funny youtube videos, eat some Berryism, and swim/layout at the pool. I'll only post a couple of pictures of the 100's we took underwater with her spiffy new high-tech camera.

Yes, yes, we are SILLY! =)

I am SO glad Shavon came out and visited me--since we rented a car I FINALLY got to get out and have some fun! And it didn't rain at all (well ok, so it did drizzle a little bit in the Everglades but it actually felt good on our hot, sweaty bodies)!!!
Only 3 more weeks until we get back to Utah! woo hoo! (unless Austin extends in D.C......)
