no pain, no gain.

Sore knees. Sore ankles. Bruised feet. Blisters on multiple toes. Tendonitis.
All worth it. My philosophy--no pain, no gain.

Running, my new passion.  2 miles, 3 miles, even 5 or 6--it's all the same to me- just getting my fix. I wonder if I should train for something? At what point do I actually get to call myself a runner? I set a personal goal to be able to run multiple miles in under 9 minutes each--today I accomplished that goal (with help from my handy nike+ which I used for the first time today and LOVED)--Average speed of 8.22 minutes per mile. Can I call myself a runner yet?

Haha I would for sure call you a runner!! I wish I liked to run but I hate it so I will most likely never be able to call myself a runner!! I hope you are enjoying Florida!!

That is so awesome Layla! I decided to start running about a month ago. My sisters in law go two or three times early in the morning to Cottonwood high school to run the track and the bleachers. Yeah the first day I could only run around once. My goal was to RUN a mile, and on my third time I did it! It's weird, I totally love running (me and all of my 1-3 miles), but I'm still slow, so I haven't hit the official title of "runner" yet. Also I haven't had any blisters, sore knees or ankles or anything. Guess I need to work on the pain part of the "no pain no gain". : )

PS- Have you ever heard of P90X? TOTALLY kicks your butt!! Love it! Also - how is the humidity down there? The beaches look gorgeous!
